About Brooklands Sound

Brooklands Sound started out as just simply a friend-group who spent their youth chasing live music events, whether it be a doof out in the countryside, festival or more professional international acts playing in the clubs in Christchurch City. Either way it always started & ended in a somewhat similar fashion with the decks out getting thrashed till the sun came back up, often in a humble wee sleepout in Brooklands - Hence the name Brooklands Sound was born. Over the years the equipment got more expensive & things started getting a bit more serious, this led to making the jump from spectators to participants in the scene with sets being played all over as well as gigs being held under the Brooklands Sound Music Collective.
